Allow me to explain the setting first, please. (I just returned from the fish market, which was fantastic to the max, and now I'm inspired. =D) If you don't read this whole thing, you'll probably be slightly lost... Anyway, the environment is light and tourist line the stands. The market is strung along a long street along the bay--at least half of the stands selloing fresh seafood or prepared fresh seafood while the others sell art, jewelry, flowers, bags, spices, and other little knick-knacks, everything self-made. You'll also find cafes and a place with either Thai or Japanese food as their main feture before walking another ten feet. No chain-resturaunts are found here, though other than the first, orignal Starbucks. (But only one... Which is rather unusual around here.)
I think I need a moment to explain the fish stands, though for they are a spectacle within themselves. First off, there are anywhere from one to three, depending on the size of the stand, guys standing around the freezer, cracking jokes, fooling around, offering samples--basically, trying to sell their product in a fun way. When an order comes up, they take the fish, which is usually about three feet long and buried under ice, and fire it behind the counter where two to three men, again, depending on the size of the stand, cut the fish, price it, and pack it if desired. (It's really cool, too. ^^) It doesn't only have to be fish, though. It can be claims, oysters, shrimp, whatever, As long as it's seafood.
The setting is modern, so you'll find nothing out of the ordinary here and many languages are spoken, but all can speak and understand English, or at least enough to get by.
So. What you're characters are open to is anything and everything. They could have their own stand of art, work at a fish stand, a fruit stand, a resturaunt or be a passing customer. Whatever the case, make sure the characters interact. [sarcasm]This, believe it or not, helps the role play... role.[/sarcasm] (Like my attempted sarcasm font? xD)
Anyway, my post to come setting the time of day and whatnot. ...I call a no limit on the number of characters, too. =DD

Bussiness was slow today, but that was okay. It gave her time to catch up on her reading. She sat in the stool behind the collaspable table laced with a knitted runner and jewelry of all kinds. Boxes of rings sat out front with a row of bracelets and earrings behind those; some matching, some not even close. Necklaces were hung by the dozens on stands that she'd built when she'd started this usually busy stand. The occasional silver figure stood, but she stuck to what she knew mostly. Sometimes, she made a set of candles, but that was when she was truly without anything to do at home which she found rare. The jewelry stood out, that was for sure. She used a few yards of wire, a lot of jade, sterling(sp?) silver, and squares. She liked the looks of squares. Of course, she had a few circles and triangles for a different look, but the basis of all her structures were squares.
The youth stretched and looked up. Where was Kim? She stood and planted her hands flat in her pockets, boosting herself with the balls of her feet. "Stupid man..." she mumbled, returning herself flat on her feet and scoocing back on the high stool once more. A passer-by glanced down at her table and up at her. She flashed a welcoming smile and leaned over, proping her head up with one arm which was resting on her thigh. A hand rested on her shoulder. "Hey." She whirled. "Where the hell have you been?" she demanded, greedily taking the mocha from his other hand. "There was a long line, okay?" "Where'd you go? Starbucks?" "Look, you got your coffee; quiet your mouth." "Thanks," she put in quickly and set it on the corner of the surface as a steady string of people began their way past her table. Her brother took a chair that faced the fence, swung it around and sat on it. "I see bussiness is booming." "I don't really care for your sarcasm right now," she said casually, fiddling with the beaded bracelets around her wrist. (Their only puropose was to discreetly hide the small tattoo on the on the underside of her wrist from her mother who enjoyed dropping by often and quite unexpectedly. It sucked living so close to home.)

ooc; yea...well you never know with me, huh? lol. just playing. alright here i go
oc; tom was out for a stroll looking at the different merchandise all around him. it was quite crowed and was annoyed by it,but, he'd do anything to get out of his house, away from his family. He kept on walking down the street and ended at the front of the starbucks. " eh, why not. little caffine wouldlnt hurt now would it? " so he walked in and got himself a capitichino(sp?) then walked out of the place and walked onward. As he was walking by he saw a buddy of his at a little stand surveing all of the stuff on the table. " hmm.....lots of neat stuff. " tom walked slowly to creep up on him to see if he can scare the shit out of him.(pun intended) he was only a few feet away when tim took a glance and smirked. once tom was about a a foot closer to him behind him tim turned around and triped him. " have a nice trip? " he asked while laughing and smiling at him. tom was dissapointed and emarrassed that he triped. " why'd you go and do that tim? i was only fooling around. you dont have to go and embarrasse me you know. " he looked at the stand. " what'cha lookin at? " " nothing special really. just some stuff here. " he pointed to some odd stuff. " yeeaaa.....just like you. anyway. what'cha doin here? arnt you suppose to be workin? " " naw. im off today. how bout you. what've you been up to? " " nothin. just gettin away from my folks again. " " shoulda known. lets walk onwords. too crowed to stay in one place. " and so they both walked onword to who knows where.

ooc;; I write more... 'Cause there's absolutly nothing to do in a hotel room. -_-
ic;; "'Rotch'?" "It's Roch... Like 'rock'," she corrected without looking up. "Right, well, I work right over at the fish stand several blocks down and I see you everyday down here, so--" "Sorry, I'm engaged, though," she said bluntly, looking up to find an attractive young man perhaps a couple years older than her while modestly flashing the diamond coated band around her finger. "Oh. I see... Sorry," he mumbled, backing away. Clearly he was embaressed. "It's cool. See you around," she replied with a small smile. Roch looked down at her ring, examining it after he'd left. "Best gift you ever gave me." "Well, I didn't mean for it to fend off guys... Just thought you could appreciate a good ring..." he mumbled. She laughed. "And I can take advantage of a good ring, too." She wasn't really interested in guys. Mostly because she was never impressed with them. It took a lot to impress her. So, everytime she was unimpressed with a male looking for a date, she flashed the ring her brother had given to her three years ago and it was easy to let him down. "I noticed," he mumbled as a wanderer approached the table. "Exscuse me," she began, holding a thick silver braclet out, "but how much is this?" Roch took it and searched for a small tab of paper. When not finding one, she glanced at it, ran her thumb over the smooth, amber stone and looked back up, handing it back. "Thirty-two dollars after tax," she replied. The woman took another look at it and rifled through her purse. "I'll take it." "Okay, would you like a bag for that?" she asked, greatfully taking the money. "No thanks, I'm just gonna wear it home, thanks," she replied, fixing the bracelet on her wrist. "Sounds good," Roch said, recieving the money with her small, sweet bussiness smile. "Thanks a lot and have a great day... Bussiness is booming."

tim was the most energetic one while tom wasnt quite so there. tim wanted to look at every stand there was. and there was a whole bunch of them. after tim and tom have walked about two blocks or so tim couldnt help but stop at a jewlery stand and look at the nice stuff. " aw...common tom. look at this stuff. its awsome here. " tom just sighed and turned towards the table and nodded at the man and the woman as a way of saying (im guessing its morning. ><) morning. then he looked down at what tim was looking at. " not bad. not bad at all. " tom picked up a few things to look at the prices and if they were worth the price. as he was looking his eye caught some really good pair of silver earings. he picked them up and examed them a bit. he couldnt find a price and so he just asked the two people. " how much are they? "

oc; I'll get to reading this soon enough, I guess. My days have been jam packed, as of late, so I can barely come on. In fact I've been going up to bed around 8:00 every night. So, Livi, I wanna know: Does your cell phone work? I know it didn't work in Canada last time, so I figured it doesn't.

ooc;; Unfortunately, the circumstances are the same; no cell phone for Liv. However she does still have e-mail... (hint, hint, Katie. xDD) However, my mother said that she'd let me use her's, so if you want me to call, gimme a shout and I'll call over. ^^ It's totally cool... I understand busy days. xD Speaking of, we're looking for houses this weekend, I think, with the (vain) hope that we'll find one.

ic;; Roch gave it a quick glance. "Twelve bucks," she replied. "Oh, plus tax, so... twelve bucks and ninety-six sense... Looking for a gift for someone?" she inquired curiously. Most guys who stopped by were unless there were candles but there were none today... In fact, the last one she sold was yesterday and last night she'd gone out with Kim and some of his friends.

ooc; yea. lol. i'd be doin the same if we move. i'd prob use my mothers cell for a while untill i get my own job and pay for my own cell.
ic; tim looked at tom and smirked. tom smiled at the woman. " no. actually they are for me. i have a ear that was peirced twice...and i kinda need earings so they dont close up. but its hard for me because my parents dont allow it. " he pulled out his wallet and pulled out twelve bucks and serched his pockes for ninety-six cents. he handed it to her. " thank you very much. " he smiled at the two. he turned to tim. " find anything to your liking? " " hmmm.....not really. im not like you. im not into jewlery like earings. " he looked at the two " so. its a nice weather dont you think? " tom nodded at that. he looked at the two as well. " business doin well?"

Roch nodded once, rubbing her thumb over the small tattoo with a smirk of her own. "Know how that goes," she mumbled before looking at the sky momentarily and taking the money with a thankful nod. "Not bad. Could be raining, so we can't complain... Bussiness needs the nice weather to keep up. It's been going great so far." Kim nodded. "Except you're lacking in the candle selection anymore," he pointed out. "Thank you, captain obvious, but you and your smart-ass friends kept me up 'til three in the morning last night... or this morning... Whatever the hell you wanna say," she retorted. "Yeah, yeah--that's a load of crap; you chose to come."

tim laughed alittle. " hey. i know how it is as well. staying up i mean. my sibs do it to me all the time. " tom just looked around. " heh...i would really know. i have no sibs....but i must say, " he looked at tim. " you've kept me up for all night as well. " they both laughted. tim glanced down and noticed the tattoo on the womans arm. " so, what's the tattoo of? " he looked smiling. tom gave a sigh. " damn you tim. cant you just mine your own bussiness? you and your damn brilliant eye sight. " he looked at her. " i am sorry for him being rude. you dont have to tell him anything. " he gave a smile at her.
