Gage was curious, now. What was with these people. Who the hell was this man, who looked like paranoia had set in? This was just too good. He edged his way to sit near them, sitting quietly. A shadow fell over him.
Otu looked down at the man. He wasn't all that worthwhile. Sure, he was tall. That was all, really. Wait, was she actually thinking about him? Now that was weird. She sat down across from him.
The girl sat down with him, a queer look possessing her face. Why was she sitting here? With him? And why now? Couldn't she tell this wasn't a good time? Or could she at least have asked? Here she just barges over and sits down. A mere child, although she had an ID. RIght?
"ID, child," the man put out. HOw blunt. No manners, no nothing. THis was going to be fun.
The girl scoffed, silently, then held out her hand, ID in her palm. That's right. So she wasn't lying. but she looked so young.
She smiled. Wow, a smile? Too much emotion. She quickly blew out the flame. Well, he had no reason to doubt her. "There," he said quietly, although his face read mischief. What was he up to. Otu glanced down at where he was pointing to.
That smile had given her away. Of course she really was younger! This ID was fake, and he was pointing at just the right spot. "That number, you couldn't have known if any random person had the same ID Number. If they happened to look down and see their own, that would be bad," he explained to her quietly. Not that she didn't already know this. "So you took the number of a criminal, huh? NOt a well known one, of course, but then since he's jailed, you wouldn't be able to have them pounce you."
What. The. Fuck. Who the heck was this guy, who could see through her brilliant ploy? Didn't he realize that she had used her one (and only) resource to make this? Her wonderful partner-in-crime. Well, Geff wasn't really a partner in crime. Oh, wait, this could be considered criminal. Shit. She'd have to let him know. He was the only useful person in the world, really. TO her, at least. "Why would you happen to be so informed of these criminals?" Of course, the answer was obvious. If he was with the police, she was in trouble. NOt that she hadn't gotten taken home with them before. ALthough only with the police in her half of the city. The ones on this side weren't as bad, were they?
Dang. Well, in showing this child up, he'd given himself away as well. "I feel the need to familiarize myself with them. I do need to research some of them for my... work." Was he giving himself away now? OH well. Maybe she'd shut up now.
WOrk? Then he couldn't be with the police, right? Something didn't fit.

Quay was hesitant, but at Rain's nod, he did so. Rain was like his mother when he felt like this... Which was why she couldn't bring herself to taint his adorable, innocent soul. He downed half of the mug's contents, pulled the rim away from him mouth, panting, and wiped it with the back of his hand. Immediately, he felt sooo much better. The drink really did do wonders; almost made him feel warm. "With us again?" Rain asked. He nodded, still trembling. "Yeah... But, really. There were three." "Of course," she replied smiling. Did she really believe that there were Surian officials here - let alone, three? Yeah. Quay was a sharp kid. "What do you think...?" Julien began, trailing off. "I don't know, man... It was... crazy. I saw the uniform and split. Didn't even wanna find out." He flinched at the mere recall. Rain slowly folded him in her embrace. "I told you; we won't let them get you, Julien or me, okay?" He nodded, feeling even better with a hug. He was so lucky that he was such a hugable kinda guy.
"C'mon; let's dance." And she took each of the boys' hands and dragged them on the floor; a threesome of dancing in the works.

Otu glanced around.
"Look, we could sit and debate this whole matter of jobs and life goals are you could just forget who I am and vice versa."
Gage drowned her down with a look. "What do you propose we do?" The girl--Otu?--scoffed once more. "Do? Did I propose we DO something? No." How obnoxious this child. And, yet...
"NOthing, I guess. Let's... do something, then?" She laughed. What was with this guy? "You're asking me? ALright, then. You seem a man to like a pretty face. Let's go to the dance floor. You're bound to meet someone there." Somewhere, in the far reaches of her mind, she heard a cracking noise. And it felt so good.
Gage eyed her. "There is something peculiar about you."
Here we go again. "Oh, really. i have never noticed--not that I ever notice much. Would you mind, then, telling me what is so peculiar about me--just like every other man strives to do--because I'll tell you, you are every other man." Or just about.
"Let me review you, then, Miss CHild and I'll get back to you," he replied without missing a beat, although his heart did. "Just like every other man"?
Gage lifted Otu up, his arm gently pulling her up with an awkward gracefulness.

ooc;; xDD I know. I always manage top stick my foot in my mouth some how. xD;; Ah well. I'll try to be more active. It should be a lot easier now since we've finally settled down... Somewhat. It's sorta impossible for us to settle down completely. xD You of all people would know that, I should think. Haha
ic;; Through the sea of bodies, a small child sat, tawny hair skimming the tips of his lashes. He looked... Almost out of place. But, not just in the fact that he was in fact a twelve year-old who was admitted in a place where minors weren't allowed. Something about the... eyes. The eyes were vacant; blank. No soul was in the corpse of that one... "Milessss!" Suddenly they awoke. "Yes, Fly?" The sixteen year-old tittered, skipping toward the boy. "Come daaaance," she pleaded. He blinking, looking over at her. "Naw, you go ahead." "But... but there's this reeeeally hot guy over there. And I don't wanna look like an idiot dancing by myselllf," she whined. A twinge of amusement took hold of the boy's face. "And dancing with a minor will look sooo much better." He had a point. But still, it was better than no one. "Pllllease?" "Sorry, Fly. Not this time." He was too busy hating the crowd to be in it.
Rain could dance all night if they let her. Sadly, however, they did not have quite the stamina(sp?) that she did and the boys were off the dance floor after several songs. Which was just dandy for her. Whatev. She'd already attracted a couple of decent guys and latched on to them. Quay shook his head. "How that girl lives..." Julien laughed. "Yeah. It's crazy. But, try to take her outta it, and I'm sure she'd end up dead within a week." Which wasn't far from the truth.

Amny strode casually into the club with Uri slipping in just behind. She glanced back to him with a quirky look that read 'you are just too much, sometimes.' And he knew what she was thinking immediately; expecially how ironic it was, as well. (That was worded weird, sorry). So she went straight to the dancing, Uri trailing behind. He was completely beating himself up. Of course, it had to just be the atmosphere and all the people jumping around. He was caught up in the moment, of course. But when Amny glanced down at him, her sly little grin running across her face, he had to look away. Amny laughed, shaking her head, and grabbed his hand, dragging him over to dance with her. He rolled his eyes; but he gave in instantly.
Danni was just going with the crowd. Sure, he danced, but he wasn't all that into it. He shifted through the sea of bodies, enjoying himself very little. Not that he didn't like clubs; he did. He just wasn't so into it tonight. Probably because he had to go to work tomorrow. Those kids, some of them he liked, he had to give it to them. BUt then there were those who just didn't try, or skipped. Even those who struggled he could stand--he understood things could get tough at school. But when kids stopped trying it just ticked him off. Like that girl! What was she doing here!? As he spied Amny Rolan, he turned away, discusted. And that Dochi kid, that Uri. He wasn't half bad, but sometimes he would just follow her around like a pup. Uri Dochi needed someone to talk this out of him. What was so great about that girl, Amny, that gave him the need to be with her? Danni glanced in their direction and caught glimpses of Amny dancing through the rest of the bodies. .... Fine. She could dance--but that was it.

Suddenly, Uri's face darkened. Him, what was he doing here? He should probably point this out to Amny, but.... But then Amny would want to get Fruori-sensei's attention. She would. BEcause Uri was quite sure that Amny was keen on Fruori-sensei. She didn't want to be, not after he had treated her so meanly the first day of class. But she thought he was amazing, and there was no denying it. "What, Uri? Whatcha lookin` at?" He sighed, game over. "Fruori-sensei," he told her off hand. He laughed, though, her reaction was quite worth it. Amny jumped half a mile. Well, she liked to think it was only an inch or two, but she knew it was a whole half mile. Fruori-sensei? It had been bad enough that Uri had figured it out. Well, she had told him she though Fruori-sensei looked good. Very good. But she didn't want to admit that she still had it for their teacher. No, wait, she DIDN'T have it for her teacher. IT just SEEMED like she did. That was the whole problem, right? So she turned the way Uri was facing and sure enough, there was Fruori-sensei trying to get away. How did she know that much? Because the backward glance he had just taken back was aimed at them. OH, now how could she grab his attention? Not that she wanted (or needed) it. "So how are we gonna get him?" Uri asked with a long-drawn out sigh. Oh, Uri. She shot him a sypathetic look. "We're not." Her answer was firm. This was so Pathetic. "Amny, get over it, so how we get him?" She laughed (a bit hysterically). "We... don't. Okay?" "Listen, I don't care. We get him now?" "No! I'm telling you, I don't like him. I don't have some need to have him notice me..." Uri laughed as she glanced back to their teacher. "Sure. Right. Well, don't give me THAT crap." "Oh, Uri! Cut it out! I dun need him! I don't even like Fruori-sensei! It's not like, you know, he looks all that... great. Oh Lord, take that back. Okay, he looks... amazing. And a half. But, I don't... Lord, fine! What's the plan?" A victory for Uri. Well, for now, at least.

Rain slipped from the scene to join the boys. "Tired already?" "Hit me," was her response. Julien laughed softly, but slid the drink her way. Rowdy, uncontrollable, and belonging to no one, she was having a blasssst. <3 Helping herself to the drink, she looked up and her eyes picked out the most gorgeous, attractive man she'd come across in a long time. Like. Just. Wow. But... he was most definitely with some one. What. A. Bitch.
". . . Please?" "Fly, do you honestly think you'd have a chance even if he did notice you?" he asked. His tone held no mockery; only curiosity. It wasn't as if he were trying to start a battle of the wits here. Her eyes cast downward at her shuffling feet. "Well... I just. Y'know. Sorta... For fun, I guess," she muttered. Miles gave a bitter-sweet smile that favored the bitterness more. "Sorry, but it's physically impossible." She looked up, glaring. "You're so mean! Can't you just let me pretend?! For once?! Christ, you always have to shoot me down!" "I let you fight," he replied evenly. "Yeah. Once a month. WITH A SWORD I CAN'T EVEN WEILD." "Speaking of, you better get moving. Tonight's that night." Her face dropped. "Already?!" Shit shit shiiit.

ooc; Very nice. that is just Veeeery nice. "Tonight's that night" I didn't see that coming
ic; Otu glanced around. She was dancing with this guy, and she had to admit, he was fun to dance with. And he was very good at dancing, too; another perk. She was being drawn into the beat of the music, for once, andher mind slowed it's racing pace a bit. Her eyes scanned the crowd nonchalantly: she was more focused on Gage. He had said that was his name, right? There. So there were people watching Gage as they danced. A few women, actually. This was crazy, she wasn't exactly willing to let go of this man just yet--not even that she found him attractive. He was just addicting to her way of life.

ooc; okay, I just reread xXxHolic, so I really wanna write... INSPIRATION HATH STRUCK!!
Oh, Livie Love, you need to hear my new song. I've got it basically all done. I just need to finalize the second verse and the ending. And then write in lyrics. Because this one was written with lyrics in mind, first. In fact, I had the lyrics first, and I started humming a melody to them, which I then figured out on the base line and wrote in a chord progression underneath it all. It's pretty fun, and it's in C Major, which is pretty interesting for me. It's weird playing all C Major chords. I'm so used to being in Bb Major. xD
If you want an idea, although I'm not sure you'll get it, but it goes: (middle)C, (down)G, (down)F, (low)C, (up)Eb, (up)A, (down)G, (down)F, (up)G.
I dunno, it's pretty perky and almost-but-not-exactly-gospel sounding. xD

Danni sighed. This place was starting to focus in on certain individuals. He tried to pretend he didn't see them, but he did; those who were starting to look to Rolan and Dochi. Well, more to Rolan, since she was the one doing most of the dancing. But he didn't care. Not really, at least. Let the child have the men swarm her, if she liked. It was her decision. That was being unfair, he grudgingly admitted. And there were only a few glancing to her--as if there wasn't enough glancing going around to all the good-looking girls. She was no exception, really. She wasn't even the best looking here--no where near---not that she even looked good, anyhow. ((Did you notice the "child"? I put that in without even realizing it. Gage and Danni are fairly alike in many ways. And because of that, i can't wait to see if they arrive to an encouter, at which they would instantly become competitive, although only Gage would be striving for it. Danni, poor soul, would be pulled in without even wanting to. Gage would tick him off and he'd just want to try and prove to himself that he was better, and Gage would be sitting there thinking bastard, I'll whip your ass!. yeah.))
