Julien yawned. "Aww - don't tell me you're too tired to go clubbing," Rain, (who was currently decked out in an outfit that had no problem showing off what she had), whined. "Naw, just bored... Let's go," her brother replied. She smiled and grabbed his wrist, dragging him along, only then did he dare to bring up one of the most taboo subjects between the two. "What happened with Quay the other night?" A sly grin hold of her face, but she took the fifth. He took this as his cue to let the subject go. "Where's he at now?" "Probably at home... I invited him, but he might be a little, uh... shy." "Ahh." So she did manage a thing or two. "But, the boy'll be back on his feet in two days, tops... Hell, we might even see him at the club." Not likely. Reading her brother's face, "I know." But, she was right about him being up and at it again in two days. "He'll be just peachy."
--x--
The paranoia had set in.
Dammit, what club had Rain said? Think, think, THINK! Something about a moon.
He grabbed his jacket and was out. Moon Phase? No. Moon's Peak? Definetly not. Sun's Hollow. That was it. Where the hell had he gotten moon from?
Already breathing heavily, he continued on, giving but one glance to his backside.

A tall girl, black hair trailing, walked down the street; a boy quite a bit shorter than her following behind. "But Amny," the boy nagged, pulling out his whining voice. She silenced him. "No, Uri, cut it out." The boy groaned. "Amny, listen!" But Amny turned around and hit him over the head. "Cut it out." Then Uri licked her hand, which was convienently two inches from his face. "Oh, God, Uri! That's discusting!" she yelled, whiping her hand on her shirt. "Amny, tomorrow we have school," he pressed, tugging on the back of her violet shirt. "No! WHo cares about school? You never did." "Fruori-sensei is giving a test tomorrow! I need to get a decent night's sleep!" Uri battled, pulling harder. And at this, Amny stopped. But she continued on after her moment's pause. "I don't give a damn." Uri laughed. "You've never once stopped at the mention of a test." Amny glanced behind slyly, a studious frown searching his face. "So?" She opened her mouth to go on, but no words came; she shrugged off the need, and Uri's hands, then continued forward.

The two continued on through the winding city streets, heading for the core of the night life. "We're just gonna hit a club or two tonight, then get back home." Uri groaned again. "I don't know about your parents, Amny..." He poked her in the back aggitatedly. "But mine don't tolerate these late nights very well." Amny laughed. "Don't worry, Uri, I'll have you home before three." "You don't get it!" he told her, "I can't stay out that late! I need sleep!" "Amny doesn't. Uri chose to come with Amny. Uri is under Amny's will." "Cut the third person! I don't wanna go!" Amny cut him a startling look. "Why, then" she asked, her words slicing the air, "did you come?" Uri groaned. "Because I'm stupid, AMny!" he finally replied. "You said it's be fun!" "It will be." "You said I'd love it!" "You will." A grin was glinting over her lips now, tugging unforgivingly; she strained for control. "Fine!" Uri said, pouting, "I'd get to spend a night out with you! Get over yourself, already!"
Amny felt bad. She knew that Uri was still a bit fallen for her, and she used it to her advantage. They were best friends. Hell, they'd been best friends forever. When he'd started realizing that his best friend was growing into her looks, he'd found her irresistable. But she knew it wasn't real love. Or maybe she just didn't like him. Whatever the case, it had never happened with them. He'd gotten over her; or at least mostly. Every once in a while, she'd get to him. And tonight she wanted someone to come with her. Not that she minded being alone at a bar or club. She wasn't a player, but she knew how to fight. BUt this club was a new one. You didn't just walk into a club alone, making yourself vulnerable. And why should she worry if she was making Uri tag along? He'd enjoy being with her, she'd get to make her entrance all that much easier, and he didn't have to worry about being mobbed. And she didn't use him like this constantly. They really were best friends. They told each other everything and couldn't help gushing to one another. It just worked that way. In fact, that's how she had found out about his crush on her. She was just beginning to notice that something was up when he came to her house, sat on her bed, and told her everything. He even knew all about her trying to win the bartender over. He didn't care, he just needed to tell her. And she felt compelled to tell him things too.

ooc; someone... reply. PLEASE!! I need an excuse to write more... but I can't over do it.
__8:48 PM (9/11) Okay, I warned you guys. But I can't help it. Oh, and I'm putting all this in this one post, because I don 't want all these ooc's clogging up the rp. Although I'll probably use them the most.
I'll just introduce Gage. And maybe his counter part. Wait, Counter part? maybeh... I forget >.> -sheepish grin- =}
__8:54 PM (9/11) Oh! And does anyone wish to play the Vampire Gage has met? Perhaps someone could come up with a charrie instead of me coming up with them all to fit my own plots. =D If anyone's interested, just send a PM my way. I'm willing to negotiate any type of plot.
__8:20 PM (9/12) Alright, so I wrote a scene at the club for Gage. Whether everyone else ends up going or not, I got bored in study hall. So that's that.

Gage strolled through the alley ways. He had no particular motive tonight
ooc; (what a fun word; motive. Ha haa. It's fun to say).
His current work wasn't pressing--it could wait a few days.
ooc; (Don't let me forget, New name: Jade. I love the show Jackie Chan. It's sooo funny).
And he felt slightly preoccupied. Something was bothering him; something he couldn't put his finger on.
ooc; (Oooh, crap. You knew another one was coming. Sorry, this post is super choppy, but I just had an Idea for Otu!! YAYS!! I got it from Oban Star Racers... >.>)
A club. He just needed a night at a club. Besides, clubs in this area were perfect for observation... As long as you didn't over do the drinking thing.
ooc; (Crappy intro, but hey, whatever. At least I dragged him in. Oh, and I'll bring Otu in soon, as well. I don't think I can bring Rauri and her group in until school starts up. That means that Liak will take some time to bring in. Oh, but maybe I can pull Junet in through the club thing tonight. I mean, that is where I plan on bringing in Danni, and where ever Danni is, Junet is almost sure to follow.)

ooc;; Yeah, so I don't feel like bringing anyone new in at the moment considering that I'm rather tired, do you're all gonna hafta deal. ;P Even though Katie and I are the only one's who've joined so far. xD So, Katie, I guess you're the only one who hasta deal. xP
ic;; "So, uh... What exactly did you do?" Julien asked as the two hit up the night scene upon finally arriving at the lively building. "Honestly, nothing, really," she replied. "I mean, nothing that would make him this upset." "Mm-hm. So, what do you think it is, then?" "How the hell should I know? I think the paranoia's gotten to him... He can't see anypne about it, though.... Won't say a word about anything relating to the period before we lived here." "Poor kid's gonna end up snapping and never returning." "Naw - he's a tank. Built of metal." "Partially." "Better than what you can say." "Touche."
The jousting of words continued on for a few brief minutes before the two entered. "Why did you really come here tonight?" Julien asked. Never could tell with her, after all... "Mm... Not sure. Don't worry, I'll be going home with you, though," she replied, looking around. Already she could feel the vibes of the sweat ladened kids enjoying the night scene.
ooc;; Too tired to make it all prettyful and shit. xD;;

ooc; I"ll reply after school
__3:02 PM (9/13) Okay, so my next post shall be long. Like, generously long. So... prepare youself. Don't worry, it's not a reply; it's more of an introduction--an overview--of what happened to these two characters /before/ the rp started. You don't hafta read it all, but I will make some referances back to it, I'm sure.

ooc; Alrighties. I'll explain a few things here. First off, I would prefer that this club be the same club that Rain and Julien are going to.
HOWEVER
It could also be advantuous to me for this to be a separate club, because the two of them could leave together to go to Rain and Julien's club. See? Eh? Anyways, let me know by your next post (and I'm really hoping Dawn and Jess'll jump in here sometime soon).
Also, in these posts (because I did a lot of writing) I will often refer to the club as "a bar". Basically, that's because I'm trying to stray from repetitivity. Oh, and I kinda pictured a bar counter-top like thing. For serving drinks. You know, the fun stuff. Anyway, that's how I picture all this.
Also, Gage likes women. A lot. Like, his religion (as I put in his bio) puts great spotlight on women. Basically, he doesn't think anything of liking more than one person, although he knows it may not be a "true love" situation. And he totally respects girls, don't get me wrong. Oh, and no, Livi, I didn't get this from Zack, although now that I think about it... it does sound strangly like something he would describe, doesn't it?
Anywho, this is my explination for this: I got bored in study hall..
ic; Gage stepped casually into the club. He didn't head for the counter just yet; that would be stupid and unwise. Most men checked out the club they were in first before getting ready to order (or so Gage had observed). Any beautiful women tonight? he asked himself, gazing through the slight haze. He was lucky that black was such a popular color these days. It didn't make him stand out, especially at the bars. He coughed softly as the smoke began to tickle his throat. He never really could stand the stuff.
There was anything particularly unusual tonight. He slid into a bar chair and leaned forward. He wasn't all that anxious for a drink--he could wait. So he drank in his surroundings instead. Ah, he realized, so there was a trouble spot. Gage wondered at how many men were able to stand around such a small table. Was it a girl? It had to be: some of the men were flushed in the face.
Gage was about to stand up and go over as the bartender came to him. "Ready, kid?" the man asked (as Gage was clearly in his later twenties). "Sure old man," he replied, "Just a beer." The bartender leaned down and pulled one out from beneath the counter. Gage made to grab it, but the man smiled, taunting him. "Uh, uh, uh!" he sang, "The money first." Gage shoved the cash across the counter with his right fist, yanking the beer from the man.
"Alright, sheesh," the tender said with a sigh, and moved to the next man. Ah, this guy had been standing in the throng of men. Here could be some information. "A beer, please," the man said, his words blurred in his haste. The bartender proceeded slowly, pulling the same gag on the guy, making him fluster. "I wanna girl the girl a damn drink!" the man hollered, and the bartender smiled greasily. "Tell me about this girl that is attracting so much attention," e ordered, absentmindedly swinging the beer, although Gage was sure he was just as curious as he, himself, was.
"A Doll," the man said simply, then stole his beer and handed the precious money over, none to gracefully. The bartender co cked on eyebrow, then looked to Gage, the question in his eyes.
"Don't look at me: I'm just as curious," Gage told him with scorn. Then, to prove his point, he arose and walked away from the bar, headed toward the girl an dher flock.
Gage still had no view of the girl herself, this "Doll". As he wound between tables, he situated his gaze on a woman not but two tables away. The brunette was giving furitive glances to her side, obviously trying to ignore the scene with little sucess. He'd found a target. And besides, she was gorgeous.
He glided over and sat down. "Would you, by any chance, know what's going on?" he asked her, and the woman started. "Oh, you mean that?" She jerked her head over with a plastered frown. "No clue." Gage laughed. "No, dear, why no one's here with you." He smiled his sincere (he was laying it on a bit thick) and the the woman lowered her head, a red smile slaiming her face.
"Your pick up lines aren't so great," she informed him, none-too convincingly. But he wouldn't take that. "Oh, no?" he asked, "What would you rather I say?" The woman took her laugh. "I thought you were just another man trying to get to that child." Gage shook his head, a sign that he really wasn't. BUt his real thoughts were on how much this woman could really help him with in gaining information. All he had to do was twist the conversation the right way.
"Children? When aduls are so much better company?" He was teasing her and she knew it--and took it to be a compliment. "Alright, Mister," the woman cooed, "how on Earth can that be so?" The conversational game began.
"Adults are more..." he searched for a word. "Matured."
That could so obviously be interpreted two ways. The woman chose the interpretation he was truly going for.
"Well we can hold better conversations."
"And a much wider range of vocabulary."
The woman watched Gage carefully. "I'm not so sure. She has a rather large vocabluary." So she did understand they were still talking about the child.
"I was referring to coloring," Gage informed her with a smirk.
"Against coloring she holds no resistance," the woman battled back, her eyes a window to her inward groan.
"Children should be kept out of bars," he replied, matter-of-factly. But the woman was already shaking her head. "I checked," she told him, "She has an ID and everything. She's old enough, but only just."
Gages eyebrows rose. "You call her a child...?" It was a question and a statement. That's how he felt on the matter: confused. But the woman had grown tired of the "child" talk. "So tell me about yourself," she commanded, none too subtly.
The conversation that pursued was a long and arduous one. Not that Gage didn't enjoy Rocca's (that was the woman's name) company. And, although they learned much of each other, Gage failed to learn more about the child.
And then he made his slip up. He pressed too hard, asking the wrong question. "You saw the kid's ID. Did you catchthe name?" he had asked. And instantly he felt bad. Rocca's face crushed and she gave a feeble smile. But her pleasure in his company dwindled much too swiftly and not but minutes later she was declaring her need to leave, that she had work tomorrow (which, from their conversation, Gage happened to know was not true; her need of sleep for work, that is).
He told her goodnight, with a promise to call her up someimte soon--she was entertaining company. Even after she had left, he stayed at the table, head down. It would have been rude to Rocca. And maybe she had friends in the room. Then he would never see her again, mopst likely.
After a while, he started to get bored. Slowly he shifted his position, eyes wandering the room. When all else had failed to interest he turned to the group of men still herded around the so-called "child". As it was getting later, a few of the men had dispursed. However, there were enough men there to still ake the area crowded.
As Gage gazed absentmindedly into the bunch of men, one of them shifted and finally the girl was revealed. She was very pretty (as Rocca had scornfully revealed). Her eyes were the softest gray, though steady and stormy. Her hair was the frosty blonde that so rarely came along, and her skin had a pale glow. But she was rather childish. Her cheeks were still round, even on her long face. And she was shorter. Her eyes were almost the only adult-like feature she held.
He studied her a while, not paying much attention to anything. Poor girl, she looked bored. Or maybe more like unconcerned. Vaguely she swept the room with her discerning eyes. Before her eyes had even touched upon him, she seemed to know that Gage was there, and a faint studious look fazed her visage. Suddenly her eyes jumped to his; the light caught and fired him, blinding him like a camera's flash. Instantly he was reminded of a cat's eye, deathly in the night.
But as his vision cleared he realized she held no feline resemblance. And in those ten seconds the girl had both made him wary and intrigued him. She had torn down his defense and it made him sure he had to see her again. Not because she was beautiful, no.
She would be the perfect target for an interesting case.

The guy at the bar had given her a hard time. She didn't even want any alchohol--just a water. He didn't believe she was (What's the limit? 18? 20?). So she whipped out her ID. That was the first time that night she had needed to. SHe walked away, triumphant. She wasn't satisfied--she rarely ever felt emotions--but she was truimphant. She had only been at the club for a half and hour or so, but already she had two or three puppy-dogs, folowing her every move. She didn't remember the exact number; infact she barely cared for them at all. She knew that they were only after her because she was "so hard to get". It wasn't her looks beautiful, just intriguing. It was her personality---more probably the lack thereof. They didn't care about her--they never idid-curiosity just got the best of them. And, as always, the women of the club were upset. WHy couldn't they realize she didn't want all the followers? She just wanted to sit and think. Sh was always thinking, normally not about the things around her. She had trouble with remembering things, since she often didn't bother to pay attention.
Then the first woman, some tiny blonde, had asked to see her ID. After that it was an onslaught. Of course, the ID was a fake. But most people didn't care. It was only because she stood out so much that it caused her so much trouble.
Of course, via the ID, people learned her name--a downside. She didn't want a fake name; she was just too recognisable. "Otu, Otu..." they all called, ushering around her. "Are you thirsty, Otu?" "Here, a drink on the house!" She hated their rambling but it was easier to concentrate if she had something to block out. Thus the club.
As the night wore on she caught a few glimpses. People at the bar, a couple going to dance, the lady who had sat by them was leaving. Had that lady asked about her ID? She wasn't even sure. Her crowd was finally starting to break up, but they wouldn't all dispurse, even after she had left. She glanced around and saw a man sitting where the brunette had been--right?
She glanced over the man--his hair was juet black and the hair cut mad her smile (almost). He seemed mysterious enough. But his reaction was like all the other men's. He found her... intriguing, probably. But he didn't come over. He did keep his attention on her and she could feel his gaze as she turned back to everyone else. At least he, it would seem, could excercise control.

Rain had automatically picked up on the commotion over the girl - she had a knack for such. However, though the attention was for her, she felt not even the slightest twinge of annoyance or envy. In fact, she was trying to find out what was so special about the girl, herself. "Hey, what makes you attracted to that girl?" she asked her brother who was busy putting in an order for their usual drinks. Julien gazed over. "How many times do we have to go over this; I am not attracted to gi - Hm... Wait, wait. She's... different. No, no; more like... intriguing. What? Can you not even see that?" Oh she could, however she just couldn't word it.
Quay burst through the door, beginning his swim through the sea of clashing bodies. Where were the two? His eyes brushed over what seemed to be worthy of a cult, but moved on, desperate to find his friends... Had to be somewhere near the bar.

ooc; sweet, nice connection.
ic; Gage noticed a two people--a couple?--walk in. Wow, now they looked fun. At least, they held themselves accordingly. ((I've always figured your charater's walked iwth an air of superiority)) He got up, half-following them out of interest; half out of fun.
Otu glanced around, lossing her train of thought. Oh, that man had stood up, and he was stalking a girl... but, wasn't she with the man? Okay, this was getting interesting. Then Otu did the unthinkable. She stood up, pushed her way through the men, and followed the trio. Of course, some of the men started after her, asking "Otu, what's up?" She turned around, dull eyes sharpenening for amoment. "Shut up, idiot. I'm gonna walk around; if I come back or not is my problem. For now, at least, you idiots stay here. I'm tired of being hte keeper of you pests." Okay,s o she was a little harsh, not that she really cared. They didn't care for her.

ooc;; Thanks. =)
ic;; Of course, they were.
Quay stumbled toward them. Rain picked up on him first. "Hey" - something was definitely up - "wait, why're you here?" He closed his eyes, gathering his thoughts while trying to catch his breath. "I saw... The... An official. From Suri. A Surian officer... There were three. Three, Rain, three!" Julien watched, a look of horror taking hold of his face. "Are you sure?" "Pretty damn, my friend." Rain, meanwhile, was busy trying to calm the man down. "Okay, okay... We believe you" - a look was shot at Julien - "Just relax." Julien turned to the bartender to order another drink. "Look, it's okay... You're here with us, now and we're not gonna let them touch you... No one can even see you in here, anyway - look at all these people!" He nodded. She watched as his frame shook. Poor child. "Here, take this," Julien instructed after the drink had arrived. "It'll make you feel a lot better." ...Among other things.
