Right... I kinda stole this idea from Olivia and took over It sounds like a lot of fun, but that's probably because I'm mainly plot and problem driven instead of character driven. Thinking of missions is going to be fun ;D Basically just a normal-ish city, like L.A., only a bit more movie-esque. IE, everything is a bit exaggerated, like people not dying when their car flips over, being able to take a gunshot or 3 and still live, etc. It makes the role play more interesting, just like in movies. Most of the charries would probably be part of the same criminal organization, but there could be some bounty hunters, cops, solo criminals, etc. RP's could be split into missions, though we probably wouldn't start up a new topic for each mission... hmmm... Maybe take breaks in between and talk about what could happen next? Anyways... feedback?

Man, reading this so makes me want to bring out my list of Godfather quotes... "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse. .."
We could even have gangs, a police force and underground stuff. Also a mission based story could still be very character focused. Each person does their mission differently.
The movie-esque idea is very cool and gives the characters a chance to last farther than the first gun fight, but just because you dont die to one shot doesnt mean you should be able to go out guns ablazing =P.
Overall its an interesting and fun idea and something I would love to participate in.

I really need to watch The Godfather... I've heard its pretty good Here is the problem I am having right now. What would probably happen (unless we decided otherwise) would be that a mission would be composed of a couple of people. However, unless one person plays all of the people in the group, we may have some problems with god-moding (taking control of other people's charries) which I've found out does not go over well. Only solution I can see is to either have individual missions, which would be sort of boring and basically just become writing individual stories - which might interlock at points but not very much - or we would have the group together at the start, then have them split up for the actually mission. I'm partial to the second one, a bit more unpredictable and interesting However... that would mean that if you ran 2 characters (or more) it would be logical to make them if sorta the same profession so that they could split off from the group and take missions together sometimes. Of course, that's just a suggestion... which I'm probably going to take >.>

I like the 2nd idea myself, it allows us to be a group overall (like the godfather for ex.) but still have are own personal goals and choices. It also means that different people can still hate each other in a story but work together.

Sounds like fuuuun. To add on to that idea, I'll copy and paste from our old site. Basically, we split it off into four different groups: - Crime: Where the ones with talent create the mischief and the felonies stay. They are quick talkers keeping them out of any real trouble. -Hacking: Where the guys bring "computer geek" to a whole new level. -Dealing: The ones with the black market power. Deal/ buy drugs and weapons for the group. -Investigations: For those who enjoy sneaking around, you can come down here and figure the layout of buildings and whatnot. Those are old, though... I think a change is in order. But, anyway, here's just a idea to toy around with. (Obviously, I'm in. =D )
