This was Katie's and mine that we started at a sleepover.
(It took a while to do....I hate my computer....both of them.... -throws computer against wall-)
Orani, the first mate, looked out into the sea from the deck of the ship Stashing. “Orani! What are you doing?” Orani turned to see his best friend, Thuger. “I’m just thinking, why?” Thuger grinned. “About Chiako?” Orani swiped at Thuger in play, who dodged skillfully. Orani turned his back on Thuger. “I ignore thee.” He looked around and spotted Chiako. He grinned, his face lighting up. Chiako, feeling someone’s gaze upon her, looked around to see Thuger and Orani watching her. “What guys?” she asked, then squinted at them. “What?” A hand went to her shoulder. “Just leave them be, Chiako,” Rizz said, fingering Chiako’s soft aqua hair, “Men are all idiots.” Chiako laughed and tugged at the woman’s arm playfully. “Orani is not an idiot!” she said between giggles, “He just has his … moments.” Rizz only rolled his eyes in reply. Orani walked over to Chiako and Rizz. “Since when am I an idiot?” he asked, sounded offended. Thuger walked over and took Rizz’s arm. “Can we escort you ladies somewhere?” Orani grinned, liking this game. He took Chiako’s arm and said, “To where, madam?” Chiako hid her face in her broad hands while Rizz wriggled out of Thuger’s grasp. “I told you, you troll, I don’t want anything to do with you. You should keep your hands clean for when you go off and play with the ladies at Port….” Rizz glared evilly at him. Turning about, holding to Orani’s arm, Chiako put her face up near his. She pouted some, before replying, “You are truly too tall for your own good. But until the captain retires us for the night, the furthest we shall go is the Crow’s Nest.” She batted playfully at his shoulder. Thuger pouted and acted hurt. “You don’t like me? Why not?” Orani, without turning away from Chiako, said, “Three guesses. You flirt with the girls too much.” He then proceeded to ignore Thuger and kissed Orani on the lips. “Then we should relieve Gigi of duty, and go up to the crow’s nest.” He broke away from their embrace, and walked over to the ladder up to the crow’s nest. He climbed up and popped his head above the rim. “Hey Gigi. Chiako and I came to relieve you of duty.” Gigi’s face let up. “Thanks! You’re awesome!” She kissed him on the cheek and climbed down hurriedly. Chiako, still blushing slightly, started up the rope ladder, leaving Rizz to duke it out with Thuger. Halfway up she met Gigi on her way down. “You have a wonderful man, you know,” Gigi told her, winking. Chiako’s blush returned and she whispered slightly agitated, “Gigi!” Once she had made it to the railing, she hoisted herself over, left leg first. “Whoa!” she mumbled, as a gust threw her over shirt up in her face.

Orani caught Chiako and tugged her shirt down. “Not until tonight, ok?” he asked with a wink. He set her down on her feet and stroked her aqua hair. “You’re so cute.” He looked at her with his light green eyes. Meanwhile, Thuger had given up on Rizz and had gone over to Gigi. “Hey Gigi! Whacha doing?” Gigi looked at him. “You’re not a very good pirate, you know.” Thuger smiled and said, “I know. Arrr, matey!” Gigi giggled and said, “That’s even worse!” Rizz groaned at Gigi’s foolishness. “Would you find something to do, Gigi?” She asked in a strained voice. Gigi glanced over to Rizz. “Jeez, mate, what’s bugging you? I see you are doing nothing as well!” Rizz back-kicked Gigi in return. Chiako was now blushing profusely. “Oraaaani!” she whined, “I told you! You have to wait! It’s not as if we’re married or anything of the sort. Not yet!” None-the-less she leaned into him, feeling the brackish sea air whip her hair around. “Orani, you know we should be working….” Orani sighed. “I guess your right…just let me know if you change your mind.” He looked out towards the port side of the ship. “Chiako, look at that! It’s another ship!” He looked down at her. “I’ll be back. I’m gonna go tell Captain Hast.” He scrambled down from the crow’s nest and tried to walk with dignity to the Captain’s quarters. He knocked. “Sir, I would like a word with you.” Captain Hast was busy counting the Stashing’s treasury. He was busy, as usual, and did not want to be bothered. Especially after the let down from that witch at the last port. She had been so wonderful…. Oh well, but—what was that knocking? Who could possibly think of interrupting him when he was locked in his cabins? They would just have to learn. “Go away!” he barked at the door, “Can’t ye see I’ve locked me door? You’re not gonna get in, I tell ye!” Just then he heard the voice calling to him. “Orani, is that ye? What be going on?” He walked over and opened the door. “Sir, we’ve spotted a ship to the port side.” He grinned wolfishly. “It seems to be a very rich ship for pickings.” He pointed towards the ship, hardly visible but growing larger. “What are your orders Sir?” Thuger stopped flirting with Gigi and walked over to the port rail. “At your service, Sir.” Gigi adjusted her bandana and stood up beside Thuger. Chiako leapt from the rope ladder and came to a scuttling stop beside Rizz, who was at attention in line with the rest of the on deck crew mates. “So,” Hast said with a smile, “Who’sa `bout ready to get summa dat booty?” His request was met with roaring cheers. (Sorry, but I’m putting that in there, so if your people don’t give roaring cheers, too bad) He glanced over his crew then spun to the first man in line, a scrappy old man who had more gum space than teeth; and those of his teeth which were left were long rotten. “Trace! Get these here starboard sails whipped into shape!” Trace went up into salute before scurrying off to the web of ropes. “You, Rose!” The newest member, a thin girl no older than thirteen, snapped to attention. “Yes, Sir?” she asked, eagerly. “Climb the mast and even the topmost sails, would ye?” She nodded and ran off to help.

As the captain shouted his orders in rapid procession, the ship continued to draw nearer. He turned to Gigi and pointed to the deck floor. “Now, woman, you’re below deck, go it?” He turned to Rizz, “You too, Rizz, you’re both under for this un, got it?” Gigi looked at the Captain with remorse but didn’t say anything. She nodded and went below decks. Thuger, having no certain job, turned to Orani. “What do I do, Orani?” “Go up in the crow’s nest and look out for us. Start shouting when she’s closer than 50 knots away.” Thuger nodded and scrambled up the main mast to the crow’s nest. He situated himself, looking at the ship fast approaching. He tried to judge the distance, and squinted at the ship. Orani turned to Captain Hast. “Is there anything specific you want me to do Sir?” he asked. Hast looked down the ladder to the lower deck and shouted, “Gigi! Don’t think that ye are off the hook! I want ye two firing the cannons!” He turned to Rizz, who was waiting to go down, and told her, “You make sure she gets it right, or ye’ll have me to answer to!” A grin split across her face. “Aye aye, Cap’n!” Hast now turned to Orani. “Orani, I want ye right here. With this crazy lot, we’ll not have our work cut out for us! Now, have ye all got yer swords ready?” He awaited his crew’s reply. The crew cheered with even louder enthusiasm than before. Gigi turned around and surveyed the cannons on the port side. “Right. Cannons. He knows I hate cannons. Oh, well.” She got to work, readying the cannons, waiting for the order to fire the cannons. Thuger shouted down, “50 knots Sir!” Orani took out his sword, ready to fight. “Sir, do you want us to board the ship and take her?” Thuger waited another couple of moments, then shouted, “45 knots!” The captain was now riled up. “Alright, men. Hold yer selves poised! We’ll show `em whata good lot we are!” He laughed exuberantly and raised his sword. “When they come to twenty knots, we fire, and then run them down, ye got it?” He paused, then said, “Then we will jump them!” They cheered again. Thuger yelled down, “30 knots!” Gigi had the cannons all ready and she shouted up to the Captain, “Cannons ready Sir!”

Orani started to feel battle fever, and let out a whoop. Thuger watched the ship loom closer before finally shouting, “20 knots Sir!” Gigi started loading cannonballs, and held the stick thing ready to light it up. “Fire!” Hast yelled, and roared at the top of his lungs. “Now forwards! Trace, Rose, Tiller, move the ship forward! If ye don’t catch `em, ye will be out of a job!” Gigi smiled and lit the cannons. She plugged her ears as the cannons roared, and then winced as screams from the other ship tore into the air. This was the real reason why she hated the cannons, for the destruction they caused. Orani smiled as the other ship sprouted fireballs. When he had battle fever, he didn’t have that much human compassion. After all, he was a pirate. Thuger yelled, “They stopped moving directly forward! But they’re drifting closer, and they’re at about 18 knots away!” Tiller swung the ship towards the other ship, but keeping it in range of the cannons. Rose let the sails down, letting the wind catch them and take them towards the other ship faster. “Good, men, good! Good wo, as well! Rizz, Gigi, keep the cannons going until our men board, alright? Then you both jump the ship with `em. Rose, Tiller, and Trace, keep the ship going. I’ll lead the jump, so ye all better be on yer toes, men, wo!” Gigi shouted up, “ Aye, aye Sir!” She loaded the cannons again and then fired them. She tried to block out the screams that resounded across the water. She shook her head, and started to reload. Thuger shouted down, “We’re closing in! We are at 5 knots!” Orani turned to Chiako. “You ready to jump them?” he asked with enthusiasm. Chiako shook any doubts from her mind and smirked. “You better bet I am!” She drew her sword from it place at her rope waist. She turned to see Rizz racing up the ladder. “Rizz!” She threw Rizz her sword, “Here!” Rizz caught her sword with one hand and rand a finger down the sharpened blade. Gigi fired off the last cannon rounds, and then looked around, making sure she had fired off all of the cannons. Satisfied that she had, she ran up the ladder as fast as she could. Thuger’s eyes got big, and he shouted, “We’re too close! We’re going to crash!” Just then the ships collided, and Gigi shouted with excitement. The other crew saw that the pirates were so close, and tried to run. But their captain yelled at them, and they stopped and drew their swords, facing the pirates, but not looking very happy. Orani screamed his war cry, designed to put fear in other men’s hearts. It worked, and the other crew almost broke and ran, only direct orders from their captain prevented their flee attempt.

“Be ready,” Chiako murmured, slapping Orani in the butt, “Or maybe the Cap’n might not let you live long enough for a tonight to happen….” Hast raised his sword and cried, “Attack!” Orani turned and grinned quickly at Chiako before running and leaping to the other ship. He swung his sword around, and took up the en garde stance before the other ship’s first mate. He grinned wolfishly at him, and said, “Nice ship you got here. Care to give it up without a fight?” The other first mate was visibly sweating, but forced himself to reply evenly. “You have to fight for it. We are not going to give our ship up.” As he said this he thrust forward with his sword. Orani dodged skillfully, before sweeping his sword around in an arc. He sliced the other man’s arm, and the other man dropped his sword. He quickly leaned down to pick it up, but never got there. Orani ran him through. “Good fight there, mate.” He turned and looked for another victim. Thuger climbed down from the crow’s nest. He took out his sword, and held it ready in case someone from the other ship tried to climb onto the Stashing. Gigi had taken out her sword too, and was locked in a fight with a big, burly woman. The other woman leered at Gigi, making fun of her small size. Gigi smiled politely before dancing in underneath the other woman’s guard. She sliced up, cutting the woman from her neck to her abdomen. The other woman screamed as she went down. Gigi mercifully cut her throat and turned away. Chiako laughed and ran aboard, slicing anyone who was unknown to her on the way. Although it didn’t do much for her average in casualties, it did help the others in the long run if the person they came up against was slightly hurt. She came to a man she had already gotten, and smiled. “Alright, buck-o, wanna dance?” Captain Hast steadily made a path for himself. He swung his blade—up then down—and cut two down at one time. They weren’t dead, but he didn’t mind. He was intent on finding the captain of this measly vessel before their raid had begun. He was a good pirate; very kind. He wanted merely to tie the captain up, so that he could watch his precious ship go down. A captain with his ship, of course! “Aye, there ye be!” he shouted and jumped over the near railing. The man was one of the few brave ones aboard. “You don’t scare me,” he snarled, “I’ll die protecting her.” He shifted a little uneasily as Hast smiled insanely. “Aye, ye would,” Hast said, “but I don really think I wanna let you have that pleasure. For I be Captain Hast!” He raised his voice so it rang throughout the surrounding waters, “And if any of ye forget it, ye will have love `uns who’ll live teh regret it!”

He turned to Orani. “Mate! Come help me with this rope! We’ll have this ere captain tied, ye here?” Orani turned and shouted “Aye, aye Sir!” as he cut his way through the swarm of men. He grabbed the other end of the rope and helped tie up the other captain. “What’s your name, sir?” The other captain raised his head proudly before replying, “I am Captain Porche.” “Well, Captain Porche, good luck down in the sea. Make sure you come back and tell us what it’s like.” Porche snarled as Orani walked away, laughing. He loved being a pirate. Gigi had started to fight another slightly wounded man. She tucked it away in her mind to thank Chiako later. Thuger saw a man from the other ship try to get away from the battle by jumping to the pirate ship. “I don’t think so,” Thuger muttered as he cut down the other man. He then threw the body back onto the other ship. He didn’t want any bodies spoiling his ship.
ooc-that's all we wrote at the sleepover. It's actually really funny.

"HALT!" Hast cried out, stopping all but one in their tracks. One single man from Porche's crew was running towards the deck. Suddenly he pitched forward over the edge. Several men (Chiako, Gigi, and Porche's Second Mate included) from both Porche and Hast's crew looked over after him, watching as he hit the surface with a splash and as air came bubbling up. And that was all. No struggling, no nothing. Slowly the body floated up and a small knife could be seen in his back. "Damn," Chiako muttered, "That knife wasn't all that bad. Stupid bastard stole it. Not a worthy trade--such a nice sword for such a rotten life." Several of Porche's crew mates drew back, one of the men with a gasp. Chiako chuckled wickedly as one of Porche's women slapped thw coward over the face. "What is wrong with you, Nord? How can you call yerself a man when yer scareder than a little girl!" the woman scolded, and the man so-called Nord cowered backward. "Ye there!" Hast cried out to her, "Avast! What be yer name, me laddie?" The woman scoffed. "What's my name? But naught compared to a horrible beastie such as yerself!" She walked forward, strutting along the line of Porche's crew--her own mates. "Captain Hast, I suppose. So gracious to our host--yer host! But I shall honour ye all, I assure! You are in pressence of Querika Monnoly! Shoot me now! Please! These girl thingys here be not men! I would rather go down in defense than in fright!" Gigi nearly ran her down then and there, while another of Chiako's small knives were hoised upwards. But they were stopped by a signal from Hast. Hast, whom now was glaring the young sailor down. Hast, whom was now laughing hysterically. "Nice, me laddie!" he said, slapping his knee, "I be so happy at yer request! Howe'er, fer ye, it be more hapless!" He smiled a half-tooth berotten grin. "Now we know what not teh do!"

Orani had watched this with a grin. He glanced sideways at Captain Hast, guessing what he had in mind. Thuger watched from the Stashing as his fellow crewmates were confronted by a woman. He snorted, knowing that if you pleaded for a fast death that Captain Hast would do the exact opposite. Gigi, having been stopped with a look from Captain Hast, smiled ruthlessly. She also figured out what Captain Hast what do, but wouldn't be the one to break it to the young sailor.

Captain Hast turned to Chiako. "Miss CHiako, would ye do the honour?" he asked her, gesturing forward. CHiako grinned. "Aye, aye, Cap'n!" she shouted with a salute. She ran over to Querika before the poor dear could do anything and grabbed her by the arms, tugging them behind her back. "You are to be still and silent, chit," she told her. "If you fight, you'll be workin` for us even long than planned." Querika lunged and pulled away; to no avail. "How long is that," she growled, thrashing. Chiako laughed, then replied, "Til your dyin` day, wrench." Gigi sighed. ((Okay, I'm adding in a small bit here with Chiako and Hast. They don't have a 'thing' or anything like that. Chiako has just been in Hast's crew for a long time. Even longer than Orani, okies?)) Somehow, Chiako was always used in Hast's plans. Although it did make sense, it was a little disturbing how into the part CHiako could, and would, get.

ooc-that's quite alright. btw, that's what I thought he was gonna do.
ic-Orani looked over at the girl. "And what's your name there lassie?" (i'll let you be her...) "If we is gonna be shipmates we need ta get acquanited, doncha think?" Thuger shook his head and muttered, "Now there's less food for me.." He suddenly grinned. "But maybe she'd like to be my girl!" He turned back, eager to meet the new crewmate. Gigi looked over at Thuger on the Stashing and saw his grin. Guessing what it was about, she jumped over to him and said, "You leave her alone for a bit. She needs ta get used to being a pirate." Thuger frowned. "And you are ye ta order me around?" Gigi just smiled and went back over to the other ship.

The girl sniffed. "Pirates!" she exclaimed, saying the word as if it mocked Significance Itself. "You bloody people have no ears, it would appear!" she now yelled scornfully. "My name, you blundering imbicile, Is Querika. I've told you once; I've told you twice now; I shan't say't again!" With that she whipped her head and let it fall. Chiako laughed. "You're stupid, you're dramatic, and you're annoying. Just cut it out and leave that 'blunderin` imbicile' to me, got it?" She then kneed her on the back, towards the ship. "Fall back and out, me men!" Hast cried, letting the pirates find their own means back to their beautiful ship.
