History: A girl raised with much of the new generation in one common place: The Orphanage. Once orphanages were small, separate homes which parentless children would go to. Now, in the new world after the war, The Orphanage is a metropolis which houses any child found without a plausible guardian. Children can be claimed, as the bond of family is the strongest and often shows through magic, as proof. She fled the orphanage at twelve, and when she survived on her own for two years, without getting caught or doing anything illegal, the Orphanage Officers relented, giving her freedom.

Here is a story of history. A girl named Wynd was born in the land of the rulers. Not Royal, yet not peasentry, stuck in the tween. Her family was left unknown as the war raged on, all available hands taken to the battle front. Families were pitted against each other as two Royal families battled for power. What niether side knew was that a third party had crept up through the chaos. Lucky for the land, this third party was of kind nature, and though they relentlessly tore through the resistance, they ruled the people of the kingdom rightfully. But that is not all one need understand about this kingdom. There is also a unique fact about this wonderful world. It is the world of Magicians. And powerful Magicians they are. But not only true powerful Magicians rule. There are farce Magicians, which real Magicians find intolerable. Often called Tricksters, these people are looked down upon by many Magicians, although adored by the general public for their wonderful preformances. Often Magic shows itself early. If a Magician is found among people, they are taken in for schooling. Magic can become unwieldly, although if it is not trained there is no immediate danger. It has been recorded that a few rambuncious Magicians have posed as Tricksters, just for the pleasure. However, the story at hand follows but a mere Trickster.[/size]

Wynd was sensible. Very sensible. Twelve years in the Orphanage had given her sense. It had also given her a hatred. That hatred was not for the Orphanage, however. It wasn't even for the Orphanage Officials. It was for the war that had torn her family apart, forcing them into service, and sticking her in the Orphanage. Wynd had escaped. Twelve was enough for anyone. She just couldn't take it. Besides, she made a wonderful career as a Trickster. Most people assumed her to be just what she was; a cheat, a farce. However there was always the slight chance that whoever you were watching could be a radical Magician. It was not always easy to tell. Especially when it came to Wynd. She was a master at her practice.

The city was vast. The city was crazy. The city was... Not where she wanted to be. "Look, people, round and round," a Magical voice taunted, commanding even the most stubborn-minded eye to turn to the girl it belong. "Watch the shiney coins, as up and up they fly." The girl, no older than sixteen, and a short-cut brunette, tossed one, two, three coins through the air. Slowly at first, then bulletting in speed, more coins Magically appeared into the flow. The numerous coins rocketted through the air, only to land in the girl's hand and be hoisted up again; going so fast that the air whistled.
