ooc; xD Me too. Haha.
ic;; Her head shook slightly, barely disrupting what seemed to be the perfectly placed hair. "Nothing you can buy, thanks. Only... I was wondering if you would satisfy my curiosity?" she asked. "Excuse my... straightforwardness, but I was wondering what you possibly wanted with me."
She didn't give any long explanation as to why she was curious, only the fact that she was. She didn't feel she needed to defend her actions. She could buy this world if she wanted to. With that feeling of power, who the hell needed to?

Thaniel could feel himself blinking. That wasn't exactly cool. Although if you thought about it, it was a weird sense of feeling, not really an in-body experience. Oh what the hell was he thinking about now? "That was a bit... er, straightforward," he began, stumbling a bit. He needed a recovery! "But I don't exactly have anything I want from you, except a good conversation, perhaps."
Hey, he wasn't going to be presumptuous. He wasn't expecting some wonderful night with a girl he'd met last night. They'd only talk for minutes, maybe, in their whole history. And a good conversation could be worth more than a good night any time. So that was his aim--for now. "So, where do you come from. And by where, I mean which planet, possibly?"
He was currently ignoring the reluctance he had felt last night. He'd seen this girl twice, now. Not enough for sex, maybe, but plenty enough for giving out half of his history if it meant getting to know her. Thaniel'd been around. He knew that he was lucky even to find this girl again, in such a crowded city.

A grin flashed across her face for only a moment, leaving as quickly as it had come, but never reaching her vacant eyes. "I was wondering if you'd know of Savieur's Arms," she muttered, sitting back. She crossed her arms over her chest, yawning and staring past him. "And if you've heard of such a place, then you'll know exactly where I'm from."
She could play games. And conversation was never a first intention with her; she cared naught for other's opinions or histories or beliefs. Anytime she found entertainment in such an arrogant man, she took advantage.

The brief mention of Savieur's Arms brought momentary bliss to Thaniel. Savieur's Arms was the best. No doubt. And he didn't miss the grin, either, though he wouldn't have seen it had he not been staring at her mouth. Her eyes hadn't betrayed a thing. "Well, if I know of Savieur's Arms, I then know of Grauge. But most Planet-hoppers don't end up here unless they are doing some serious traveling, or have some serious business." His calm brown eyes slid over her physic. "I'd say you're here traveling. Grauge is a major hit... or was. Any good-for-nothing Planet-hopper knows of it, and thus knows of Savieur's Arms." Of course, any Planet-Hopper was no good-for-nothing, and last Thaniel had heard Grauge was at war or something.
But that was just something he'd heard.
"So," he pressed, "Where from?" Although technically, when she said "If you've heard of such a place, then you know where I'm from" hadn't she basically implied she was from Grauge? Oh who cared, let her answer that herself.
ooc; OMG fun fun

ooc; x3 YOU'RE ONNNNN. <3
ic;; She was reluctant to answer and therefore, didn't. Though caught his wandering eyes and willing them to meet hers silently, locking on his gaze when they finally met. She didn't mind, though. Oh ho ho, no. She thrived on the attention her enviable contour brought her.
She shrugged. "The name of the city's slipped my mind. Left when I was nine or something." The events that had prompted her to leave as well as her affairs during her stay on other planets remained unsaid. And she planned to keep it so. At least for now. She doubted this man would ever know them, anyway.

At school. Oh yeah. Having fun.
Keri wants to be Olivia for today (ID-wise) xD
Oh, technically I need to reply still, huh?
Sorry, my brain has officially shut down or at least gone into malfunction. Tomorrow, I promise

He didn't press. Sadly, Thaniel knew the feeling of leaving a city at a pretty young age. But whatever, he had a girl in front of him. His manners, however, were having a hard time kicking in. He let his eyes be locked into hers, wondering if he was imagining a tiny spark there. "Is there really a battle going there, do you know?" he asked her. "In Grauge, I mean."

She laughed, letting the lock open and fall to the floor as she peered out the window at the opposite side of the pizza joint. "Grauge is always in war. Battles are always raging. But we don't let them leave the Eastern Hemisphere... Where would the tourism be with a war being fought all the time?" She shrugged, staring back at him. "We hardly let them even come to our planet." They had some awesome tactic for containing them in the enemy's planet... that I'll come up with eventually.

ooc; shweeet
ic; "Yeah," Thaniel replied softly, feeling his slight anxiety ebb. Some how this conversation made him feel trapped at every corner. He was actually struggling to find a witty remark or two--something that was a natural born talent for him. Why didn't he just ditch her now, since she was just making him uncomfortable?
Why didn't he just ditch her now? But probably because he couldn't. Part of him was longing, waiting to find out what happened next. Thaniel had always thought himself a good man for being able to expect and counter-attack anything. This kind of conversation, though. This was nauseatingly new. And he found he was stuck fast, enthralled.
"Yeah..."

And it was a small victory for her. She could pick guys like him out a mile away.
There was the slightest of smugness on her face as she leaned forward, resting her head on her hand and the elbow on the table, staring at him with something of a mischievous glint in her eyes. As if to declare her win in this battle. But hey; she was from Grauge. What could you expect?
"Tell me; where do you originate?" Odd choice of wording, but she let herself slip into the Grauge lingo.

Thaniel did not like that look in her eye. That was his look. Who was she to steal it and then use his very own secret weapon against him?
Oh yeah, no one.
"Not here, that's for certain," he said with a deep-felt sigh. He leaned back--not quite stretching--and reached for his coffee. His... non-existent coffee. "Crap," he mumbled, then glared up at her as if to say "my apparent disappearance of coffee is now all your fault."
He slid a water bottle out of his huge back jean pocket. Which was another thing. Why were girl's pockets so small? That had always bugged Thaniel. Small pockets for small butts. Speaking of which, Thaniel had not seen this girl. This... Planet-hopper. This... whoever she was.
He brought his fist down on the table, not angrily but very much demandingly. "Name. Now."

ooc;; xDD OMG. HE'S AWESOME. -falling in love with Thaniel all over again- YOU PLAY HIM SO G'DAMN PERFECT. xD
ic;; A smug grin to match her smug expression began to tug at her lips. Oh she was really loving this. Perhaps a little too much. The ball was in her court and she knew it. And she knew he knew it. She also happened to know that he wasn't too pleased with it.
"Yours first. I have at least thirty different nations I'm trying to avoid at the moment. Which means I'll need your history if you want to even get close to my name." Because she was just that smooth. She remained perfectly still as she spoke; the words flowing from her mouth in effortless beauty, her pale lips - really the only signs of life in her relapse of languidness - moving in a strange, fluid motion portraying some rare grace. And her eyes seemed to live again, life flooding in as her mind was stimulated by the unanticipated conversation... And his admittedly attractive looks.
She caught herself thinking this and immediately sat up. Finally, some emotion; a mixture of shock and disgust contorted her face. But she quickly fell back in her air of superiority serving for a quick recovery. However, she silently scolded herself for almost giving away the upper hand.
ic;; Edited it a little... Felt it was too rushed the first time. ... As are a few of my posts. ><;

ooc; no problem. A few of mine are too, although I really love what I did last night... well, maybe before I say that I should go back and reread them. -listening to Kissing You- This one part makes me almost pass out it's so amazing.

ooc; I think I made a mistake... >.> I told Zach he might kill himself one day.
ic; Thaniel watched Arcane, feeling his eyes slowly regain their original size and his eyebrows slide back down his forehead. Then he let go of the breath he was holding (why was he holding his breath in the first place?) and slumped back in his chair. And God dammit he was blinking again! Why the hell was he blinking again?
"Thirty." Oh no, why did he sound so shocked? So this girl had thirty nations on her tail, big deal, he could live with... Wait, thirty? "Thirty. Holy crap, Thirty?" Why was he voicing these thoughts? Stupid, Thaniel, very stupid ((Okay, so I've fixed it, but the first stupid was spelled wrong... xD Very stupid)).
He took a deep breath. Hey, he didn't want to be that blunt but if he didn't get some damned oxygen he might pass out and that would be ten times worse. Who would talk to a guy who passed out because he found out there were a few (or more) countries out for her? Definitely not... whoever she was. Hey, she was a nobody. A nobody. Right?

Ahh. And he had no idea the strange pleasure that brought her; his surprise by the number. Whyy? Perhaps because she hadn't had such an enthralling conversation for... some time.
"Give or take, mmm. I'm not just an anybody, y'know. You say you know of Savieur's Arms, but you fail to take note of Grauge's politics, huh?" She laughed softly, a smug note in the pretty little giggle. She had a laugh that just... fit her. There was no other way to describe it.
